Our Instructors

At Southern Standard Stables, our mission is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where riders of all levels can grow in their skills, confidence, and horsemanship.

Founded by best friends Amanda Chedville and Kaitlyn Nesbit, Southern Standard Stables has evolved from its hunter-jumper beginnings into a dedicated eventing barn. Through high-quality instruction and personalized training, we focus on developing well-rounded equestrians who have a deep respect for the horse. Our barn culture emphasizes positivity, friendship, and a genuine love for the sport.

As lifelong riders themselves, Amanda and Kaitlyn believe in leading by example. Both continue to take regular lessons with Emily Jackson of Elite Rhythm Eventing, demonstrating their commitment to continual growth. They aim to show their students that no matter your experience level, there's always something new to learn.
